From trained hands and handmade at Basso , the Astra combines the latest technology, high-quality parts and lots of style. The straight fork and the rear triangle, lead to an aggressive and direct handling. The integrated seatpost clamp, the internal cable routing and the elegant stem / headset combination provide a frame that convinces not only by the performance it offers, but also by its elegance.

In the manufacture of the frame is used 100% 3k Torayca High Modulous Carbon Fiber, which is a mixture of T700 and MR60 carbon fibers. This enables the Astra to offer performance on par with its higher end siblings, the only compromise being a few extra grams.

Geometry

The geometry of the Astra is the one that most reflects Basso, derived from the steel models. A year after year it has been improved, keeping the racing DNA, but designed transversely so that it can adapt to those who are not athletes and do not bike every day. An evergreen that remains faithful to its past but is able to perfect itself from model to model and become more and more versatile.

Versatile and holistic

The Astra retains its vocation for road cycling, but attention to detail has made it quieter and more comfortable. Lightweight, but without pushing the carbon of the frame to the extreme (which weighs about 980 g), it takes advantage of Basso’s top-notch technical solutions.

The 35-mm tire clearance allows wider tires to be mounted and to venture beyond the asphalt onto light gravel roads. Integrated Paradigma technology and Microtech ‘s all-road handlebars enhance safety and comfort while providing a pleasing aesthetic.
