Details of the Rennstahl 853 Trail Gravel SE
It’s fast on the trail with 50mm tires, but equally so for everyday riding, bikepacking, and multi-day touring in a variety of terrain. The frame offers a certain steel-typical compliance in areas where it is desired, such as in the saddle stays combined with maximum stiffness in the bottom bracket.
The result is a superior solution to the inherent conflict of goals in bicycle frame construction: the best balance of low overall weight, the ability to absorb uneven ground and yet an enormously uncompromisingly stiff and powerful frame, coupled with a durability that is superior to any other frame material, be it carbon or aluminum.
In addition, the frame can accommodate a specially designed luggage rack. A specially designed carbon seatpost with leaf spring design in the head area also gives excellent flex. In addition, the seat stay on the right side was pulled down to provide more space for the chain, especially for the modern 1x drives.
