RC stands for Racing Concept. This series was designed to meet the demands of the Scoot World Tour team. The amazingly light and stiff frame makes this bike the first choice for any climber. The Addict RC features Scott’s proven race geometry. This enables the rider to achieve optimum power transfer and maximum comfort in the saddle.

HMX carbon fibers

SCOTT the already high-quality HMF carbon fiber, which is used in the bike industry, decisively further developed. HMX is the fiber used by SCOTT and has over 20% more stiffness than an HMF fiber of the same weight class. This unique material allows SCOTT engineers to develop super lightweight wheels with excellent riding characteristics.

Light weight and stiffness

Through clever layering and reinforcement in specific areas, Scott has achieved increased stiffness at the bottom bracket and headset without compromising seatstays. In addition, a full hollow tube construction, a minimum of connection points, and the elimination of alloy components at the dropout and brake mount further contribute to the frame’s remarkably light weight.

Geometry

The Addict RC has a racing geometry that meets the demands of both professional riders and sporty customers who prefer a more aggressive riding posture and very direct handling.

Fully integrated cable routing

The Addict RC features fully integrated cable routing for mechanical and electronic shifting. This was achieved by Scott’s engineers without compromising shifting and braking quality or head tube stiffness. It’s also surprisingly easy to change cables and maintain the bike.

Lightweight seat clamp

The ultra-lightweight seat clamp weighs just 12 grams and allows for a very carbon-friendly clamping mechanism. This allowed Scott to save even more weight on the seatpost.
