Details of the Specialized Stumpjumper Evo Comp Alloy

In keeping with its DNA, the Stumpjumper EVO has a mullet setup with a 29″ front wheel and a 27.5″ rear wheel. This setup offers more grip and better rollover behavior thanks to a larger front wheel and a smaller, more agile rear wheel, which is perfect for a playful riding style. The Stumpjumper EVO is particularly suitable for use in the bike park and can be moved easily and freely on the trail as soon as the brakes are released.

When Specialized set out to design the Stumpjumper, they had a few goals in mind. They wanted it to be the lightest bike possible, but without sacrificing durability. They wanted a stiff chassis that would corner like it was on rails and a geometry that everyone could enjoy. All of this paired with the best suspension kinematics they could find.

When Specialized introduced the SWAT box on the Stumpjumper in 2016, it created storage space in the frame to carry all the essentials you need when you suddenly run into trouble on the trail.
