Hardtails provide a level of performance and efficiency that can’t be replicated. If you’re looking for a bike that can climb like a rocket and accelerate like no other, then you’ll want an XC hardtail. The Santa Cruz Highball 3.1 C GX AXS T-Type Bike is more capable than a pure endurance bike, and more composed than most XC race-rigs. It has a Carbon C frame that uses 100mm of travel on the front. The carbon layup is fine-tuned with low-angle, bridgeless seat stays that join the seat tube below the top tube junction in order to curb trail chatter. The frame features internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, three bottle cage mounts, and integrated frame protection.
The GX AXS T-Type version of the Santa Cruz Highball comes with a SRAM GX AXS T-Type Eagle 12-speed wireless electronic drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 10-52T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through demanding terrain much easier. SRAM Level Bronze Stealth hydraulic disc brakes provide excellent stopping power so you can descend under control. RaceFace ARC Offset 27 29″ wheels are paired with Maxxis Rekon Race tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats.
