Every product sold by Bike Life LLC (“Bike Life Bicycle Shop”, “we”) is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. This page summarizes how that works and how to start a claim.

1. Manufacturer warranty

The warranty terms, length, and scope are set by the manufacturer of each product. Typical warranty periods are:

  • Bicycle frames: typically 2 years to lifetime (manufacturer-dependent).
  • Components (drivetrain, brakes, suspension): typically 1–2 years.
  • Electronics (e-bike motors, batteries, displays): typically 1–2 years.
  • Consumable parts (tires, tubes, chains, brake pads, cables): not covered under warranty.

The exact warranty for your product is included in the box or available on the manufacturer’s website. We can also provide a copy on request.

2. What is and isn’t covered

Warranties generally cover manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. They do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage from crashes, accidents, or improper use.
  • Modifications, including aftermarket parts not approved by the manufacturer.
  • Improper assembly, maintenance, or storage.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
  • Use outside the intended discipline (for example, jumping a road bike).

3. How to start a warranty claim

  1. Email info@bikelifebicycleshop.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs.
  2. We will reply within 2 business days with the next steps. In most cases we facilitate the claim directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
  3. If the manufacturer requires the product to be returned, we provide a prepaid shipping label.
  4. The manufacturer’s decision on a warranty claim is final. If the claim is approved, repair, replacement, or refund will be issued per the manufacturer’s policy.

4. Proof of purchase

Keep your original order confirmation email or invoice. Most manufacturers require proof of purchase from an authorized retailer to honor a warranty.

5. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Warranty page limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable U.S. federal or state law (including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose where they apply).
