These bikes have longer suspension travel than XC bikes making them perfect for climbing, fast descents, and technical terrain. The Santa Cruz Tallboy 5 CC X0 AXS Bike has earned a loyal following amongst those who seek a go-to bike that will hold up to the relentless hammering of “power hour” hot laps or long days in the saddle harvesting the best trails. It starts with a Carbon CC frame that uses 130mm of travel on the front and 120mm of travel on the rear. With proportional geometry and frame stiffness tunes, you’ll have a fully dialed ride at every size. The frame features internal cable routing, integrated frame protection, a Glovebox in the downtube for extra storage, and legendary VPP suspension.
The X0 AXS version of the Santa Cruz Tallboy 5 comes with a SRAM X0 Eagle AXS T-Type wireless electronic drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 10-52T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through rough terrain much easier. SRAM Level Silver Stealth 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide exceptional stopping power so you can descend under control. RaceFace ARC Offset 30 29″ wheels are paired with Maxxis Forekaster tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the OneUp V2 Dropper Post, you’ll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle with the press of a lever.
